Guylain Nkongolo was getting married and wanted that unique finishing touch that would complement his style. When he could not find what he was looking for, he made it himself.

What began as one bow tie, and one lapel pin, became Lula Nga.

 

The business was started with pieces of material from his home country of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, leftover from his mother’s sewing materials. Piece by piece, stitch by stitch, the desire for custom creative pieces became a passion. Together with his brother-in-law, Kenan Kamanga, and his brother Eddy Nkongolo, they knew they had a unique void to fill in the fashion market.

Every design is uniquely created with the utmost care and quality materials to match any style. For every day, or the most important of days—tie up the look with personality. Go on, get knotty.
